Welcome to Sanderson’s Auction Rooms

Sanderson’s have held auctions in Hartlepool for over 40 years. Occuring monthly at Andrew Street in Hartlepool on Saturday's, they offer an excellent opportunity to bargain hunters or anyone looking for rare pieces of memorabilia. Literally anything can be up for sale from bikes, pianos, garden equipment to collectable items such as paintings, jewellery and Police lost property.

Every auction is overseen by reveered auctioneer Richard Hopkins, who ensures all bids are accepted equally and dealt with in a professional, courteous manner.

Need to know how to bid, where to bid and how to collect your items? ...

How do I bid?

Come down to the auction nice and early and fill out a free registration form. You'll then be granted a unique bidding number. It's quick and easy.

If you're eager or want to save time on the day, you can come down to the auction rooms up to a week in advance of the auction and register beforehand (although most people just come down on the day).

Note: your unique bidding number is only applicable for that day's bidding (i.e. not for any future auction).

Can I bid 'without' being at the auction?

Yes! - all you need to do is write your name and number on a commission sheet, and the item(s) your interested in and a reserve price and then we'll call you should you be successful.

How do I collect any successful bids?

If your bid is successful, and the auction has drawn to a close (around 2-3pm), you are welcome to pay and collect your goods on the day of the auction; simple! Sometimes, it may be possible to sneak in during a break in proceedings to make payment. If you cannot pay on the day, never fear, you have up until the following Wednesday to complete your purchase.

How do I get the big stuff home?

Well, we are a removal company after all, so I'm sure we can work something out.

Ask at the auction about local delivery rates - we'd be happy to ensure your purchases are safely transported home or to your workplace.
